Free Bloody Apple Template
This carving is a bit more complex, to get a layered effect with the dripping blood you will want to make sure you first cut around the blood, then carfully cut the skin off the pumpkin where the blood is (in gray on the pdf).
Alternately you could just cut the Apple logo out, then use the guts of the pumpkin spewing out to act as blood and entrails, mix in a bit of washable red paint and you create a nice effect. 😈 I will post a picture of this next week.

Instructions:
1. To transfer your design onto the pumpkin. First Pin or tape your template to the pumpkin, then score the design into the skin by poking holes through the template with a fork, nail or plastic poking tool (available in some pumpkin-carving kits).
2. Carve by starting at the center of your design and working outward (this avoids putting pressure on areas already carved). Begin with the innermost and smallest details. As each shape loosens up, gently push it out of the pumpkin with a finger or a dull pencil point (a good job for young kids).
3. Lastly, put yourpumpkin in a place of honor (away from flamables), and remember to blow out all candles before you go to sleep.
